Review: Wretched by Emily McIntire

Compared to Hooked, the first book in the series, this novel was noticeably better. However, in terms of the main character being the antagonist, it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. While the story is written to include perspectives from both key characters, I often felt like she wasn’t truly in control, which left me somewhat disappointed. That said, I found the fairytale cliché to be less prominent in this one, making for a more enjoyable read overall. If you're looking for a spicy book, this one definitely hits the mark. The balance was well executed, and we gained much deeper insight into the characters.
